Designs by Katherine S. (L) and Tova P. (R)
We’re pleased as punch to show off our new reusable (“eco-friendly”) bags, sporting custom designs by two creative grade-school students. To solicit designs we asked elementary schools local to our Beltsville and Potomac stores to submit designs that reflected the theme: What do trees do? Then we hung the designs in our stores and asked our customers to vote on their favorite.
We had one winner from Greenbelt Elementary – Katherine S. – and one from Potomac Elementary – Tova P. Each of the winning schools will receive a tree that Behnke’s will plant
and the artisits will receive gift cards.
All of the drawings submitted were wonderful and we would like to thank the schools that participated. We couldn’t think of a better way to introduce our eco-friendly bags.
