Hi Dixie,

If you can bring in a few pictures that would really help. Ask for one of our horticulturists and we will see if it can be saved.

Hi,

I just posted a question about my split Japanese maple on your Facebook Fan club. I posted some pictures on your website there. I will bring the pix in to see what you have to say... It is as you stated about "dfficult to deal with." It is a 35 year old tree and I think it is ruined. Boo Hoo.

I loved the article about feeding the birds since I do the same. With the pile of snow in the backyard I am unable to get to the bird feeder but I have been throwing 4 cups of seeds everyday through the window. Lo and behold the feathered and furry friends have a feast! The squirrels are quite funny when the elusive peanut or sunflower seed goes into the snow and they dig it out and come out from their little "trenches" looking like the "abominable snow squirrel"! We have seen woodpeckers, juncos, cardinals, starlings, mourning doves, nuthatches, song sparrows, chickadees etc. It is a beautiful way to start your morning and enjoy nature! Thanks for sharing the blog.

Hi. Enjoyed reading this and wish my Mom had computer access so I could forward this to her. Hopefully you will keep it up on yor site so that when we can print it out when we return from a trip at the end of January. My grandparents are Frank and Mary Lee who had the house on TalbotAve next to the Beltsville store with a garden that was next to the back of the nursery. Mom (Milred Bladen... The Avon lady who walked all over Beltsville connecting with families) always enjoys having a table fully of African Violets from Behnkes They give her nice colorful plants and brings back so many memories for her. She is now 93 and has amazing detailed memories of Beltsville and early families. When I visit Mom I always include a trip to Behnkes. Thanks for keeping the Beltsville store open. Hope it thrives for many generations to come
