Nothing like a exciting game of Hosta Bingo!

The Potomac Hosta Club is the go-to club for hosta-lovers in the greater Metro DC area, plus all of Virginia, Maryland, DC, and West Virginia, too. Their activities include talks by experts, novice activities, a newsletter, a juried show, and social events.

Dues are a very modest $10/year per household, or $25 for 3 years. Hosta-lovers 65 and older pay just $5/year per household or $12.50 for 3 years. The club currently has about 100 member households.

Upcoming Events:

June 4 they’ll be here at Behnkes for our garden club gathering, answering all your questions about the club.
June 10 they’re back at Behnkes, which hosts their annual Hosta Bingo events. In Hosta Bingo the cards spell HOSTA and under reach letter is the name of a hosta or something to do with hostas – like S for slugs (of course!) Almost everyone wins a hosta. Members also bring food, like the popular peanut butter cookie in the center of the photo above.
June 11 – tours!
September 4 the club holds its picnic, with includes a hosta auction and swap.
